Mystery House Book Shoppe can NOT be responsible for packages
lost by the U.S Postal Service. We encourage you to purchase insurance
by clicking on the "YES" in the appropriate place on the order form. Mystery
House will then ADD the insurance cost to your final bill. The cost of
insurance is based on the value of your package: Up to $50 = $1.30 US,
$51-100 = $2.20 US, then $1.00 US for each additional $100 in value thereafter.
If you are outside the U.S. (you do not have
a U.S. postal zip code), we will re-calculate the shipping charges and
e-mail the re-calculated shipping cost along with the new total to you
before shipping. You will also be responsible for any additional taxes, duties or other customs fees that may be applicable.
Orders and Payment
Mystery House Books takes credit card and Paypal
orders. We employ an encryption method called PGP, to secure your data
and to ensure that your information remains private and confidential.
If you are not comfortable with transmitting your credit card information via the internet and/or email, here are some alternatives:
- Process the order form electronically, but put he word "FAX" and a 4-6 digit number in the place of the credit card number. Then on a separate sheet of paper, write the above 4-6 digit number as well as your credit card number and fax it to us at 616.735.4274
- Process the order form electronically, but put the word
"FONE" and a 4-6 digit number in the place of the credit
card number. Then, call in to us the above 4-6 digit number as well
as your credit card number - 616.735.4256
- Download/Print the order form, fill it out manually and either fax it or mail it to us.
This will probably add a little more time to your ordering process, but it's worth it if security is a concern to you. Orders from new customers will be chosen at random to verify their authenticity. This is to protect you as well as Mystery House from fraud and abuse. Verification may take the form of a phone call or fax asking you to verify the order. Please do not consider this an inconvenience, but an added security measure for your credit card information.
From time to time, orders and cost may need to
be recalculated. The reasons for this could be:
- We no longer have the book(s) you ordered so
your bill and shipping will be reduced.
- We need to add sales tax or additional shipping/handling costs.
We will e-mail you with these changes prior to shipping.
We are hoping that you never want to return a
book, but things happen! So, if you have a problem with your order,
call, fax, or email us and we'll endeavor to correct the problem as
expeditiously as possible. If you are missing a book in your
order, we will replace it at no additional shipping cost to you. We
will refund in full for any defective audio tape you may receive. We
do NOT refund for book conditions, so please read and understand our book codes found in the FAQ
Out of Stock
Because Mystery House Book Shoppe is a USED bookstore,
once we are out of stock, there is no way of telling when we might find
it again. While our online shopping cart removes books from inventory, it does so only when that person has completed the checkout process. As such we cannot guarantee that we will have every book that you order.
Your privacy is as important to us as it is to you. The information we request on your order form is necessary for us to communicate with you in the event that a problem arises with your order or just to ship the books to you. We do not give or sell your information to anyone for any reason.
